The aim of this workshop is to provide a forum for researchers working on algorithms and the theory of computation, to promote the exchange of recent results, to foster new collaborations among researchers. Historically, the workshop was established for the purpose of collaboration of researchers of Japan and Korea; however, participation from any country is welcome.
The workshop is organized in cooperation with the IEICE Information and Systems Society, Technical Committee on Theoretical Foundations of Computing (COMP), the Special Interest Group on Algorithms (SIGAL) of the Information Processing Society of Japan, and Graduate School of Information Science and Electrical Engineering (ISEE), Kyushu University.

Authors are invited to submit extended abstracts of their papers (or the full paper itself) via submission site containing a PDF file (A4, 4-8 pages) in the format as described in the sample LaTeX file

Deadline of the submission is May 23, 2008. (Passed)
The authors will be notified of acceptance or rejection by June 6, 2008.
Camera-ready version due is June 19, 2008.
Accepted extended abstracts and papers will be collected in a proceedings volume that is only distributed at the conference, and we expect that preliminary work will later be published in a more complete form at another conference or journal.
Registration will be open at the venue during the conference. Pre-registration is not required but helpful. Please read the instruction. (List of participants)

The symposium will be held at Nishijin Plaza, which is around 10 minutes walk from Nishijin Station of Fukuoka City Subway. (See a map, but sorry it is only in Japanese). Nishijin station is the 4th station from Tenjin station, the 7th station from Hakata station, and the 9th station from Fukuoka-airport in the direction towards Meinohama (station).
